  • Ingredient list in your fridge (stored locally on your device)
  • Recipe favorites (stored locally)
  • User-created recipes (stored locally)

Automatically Collected

  • App version and iOS version (used for error tracking only)
  • Purchase receipts (processed by Apple StoreKit — Fridoumi does not handle payment data)

What We Do NOT Collect

  • ❌ Name, email address, or phone number
  • ❌ Location data
  • ❌ Photo library (only the specific receipt image you select is temporarily accessed)
  • ❌ Contacts or calendar data

2. How We Use Your Information

  • AI recipe recommendations — ingredient data is sent to our AI service provider to generate recipe suggestions
  • Receipt analysis (Pro) — receipt images are sent to an AI service for ingredient extraction and discarded immediately after processing
  • Subscription verification — handled entirely by Apple StoreKit

3. Third-Party Services

  • Apple StoreKit — subscription and payment management
  • Apple iCloud — data sync (opt-in, free for all users)
  • Google AdMob (free users) — ad display. See AdMob Privacy Policy
  • AI Service Providers — recipe recommendations and receipt analysis

4. Data Storage

  • Device local — pantry and recipes are stored using SwiftData on your device
  • iCloud (optional, free for all users) — encrypted and managed by Apple
  • No server storage — Fridoumi does not operate its own servers or databases

5. Data Retention

  • Local data — retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
  • iCloud data (optional, free for all users) — subject to Apple's iCloud retention policy
  • AI processing data — discarded immediately after processing; not stored permanently

6. Children's Privacy

Fridoumi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. 7. Your Rights

  • Delete local data — uninstall the app to remove all data from your device
  • Delete iCloud data — go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Fridoumi → Delete Data

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you within the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Fridoumi after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
